Lab One was started in 1985 in a small commerce center as an oil analysis laboratory serving the commercial aviation industry. A few years later, as business increased, the lab moved to a 1500 square foot center also in Tempe, Arizona. During this time, commercial aviation was the primary source of samples with some general aviation and ground equipment samples processed from regional trucking, construction, and industrial customers.

In 2003 the Laboratory came under new ownership and management by a team of people with extensive years of experience in oil and fuel testing in both aviation and ground equipment. The lab was relocated at that time to a 5100 square foot building located at 101 West Mohave, just south of downtown Phoenix.

The aviation group known as Lab One Aviation is now expanding the general aviation business through a network of distributors serving FBO’s and corporate service facilities. The commercial customers include many package freight companies and major airlines as well as small corporate fleets.

The ground equipment division known as Lab One Inc., was launched utilizing On-Site Analysis Inc’s. most advanced diagnostic instrument technology. The “Auto Analysis” software allows the chemist or supervisor to concentrate on the abnormal and critical samples to verify the condition of the oil. The calculated Total Base Number saves a great amount of technician time along with not having to purchase and dispose of hazardous chemicals. The efficiencies result in lower prices to our clients.
