How to use the ground equipment web-site
As written by Bill Gordon at Lab One Inc.© (Rev 5  1107)

  1. The website address is www.laboneinc.com  or www.aviationoilanalysis.com

Both of these addresses will take you to the same place. Some oil jobbers have a link on their website to ours. The website will not be available to you until we have processed your first sample and posted it to the web.

2 You will need your ID which is your customer number found in the lower left hand corner of your report.  It will look somewhat like this,  9000000084.  You will also need a pin number which, we will assign to you and it will look like this  09TRIAL.  The ID and Pin I have listed here will let you into a file called John Doe Sample.  This is for those of you that do not yet have an account with us.  Try it, you’ll like it.

When you get to the website, click on “Ground Equipment”.  This will take you to the page where you enter your ID and Pin number.  Again this will lead you to the menu and for starters click on “fleet Overview” since that is the page you will probably use the most. The page that this takes you to has a list of ALL of your equipment that you have sampled.  Samples in green are normal, samples in yellow are abnormal and the samples in red are critical.  To bring up the report, on the right side of the screen is a blue control number.  This will bring up the report and you can view it or print it out.  The report will look the same as if we printed it or you received it by email or fax.

Fleet Overview is where you go to look at your current report.  This will be the current sample and four histories.  When you go to your report and if you want to make notes on it to give to someone else you can by going to the menu just above the report and clicking on the large T+ with the plus sign after it.**  This will allow you to make text boxes any where on the report and when you click in them you can put notes.  You can print, email or fax this report to another person and the notes will be there. To email a report go to the upper tool bar on the screen, pull down the File menu and click on send.
**Only people who have Adobe Writer will have the T+ and can make notes, the free reader everyone has does not allow modification of the document.

To go back and forth between the screen that you are in and the main menu when you are looking at a report which has been brought up by Adobe, you use the upper right X to cancel it and go back to the fleet overview screen.  From the fleet overview screen, or any other screen other than a PDF file, to go back to the main menu ALWAYS GO TO  “MAIN MENU” Which is at the very bottom of the list of equipment or any other screen you are in. Most other screens will either have a return to main menu box or If you do not see that, but the back arrow on your Internet tool bar is available (not grayed out), you can use that.  If you use the back arrow and there was a return to main menu box available, you will have to re-log in.

At the main menu, Customer, Equipment and Job Site are information you supplied to us and we entered.  If any changes have to be made, call our data entry dept and we will make them.  Any changes made will not be effective until the next business day

There are many reports available to you.
